As a result, Google has been the target of many lawsuits from app developers over the years.

Google's "Hacker Education" program is another tool for developers to distribute apps to researchers, but it's not clear where the other tools are coming from.

A Google spokesman told the Verge that it was "committed to complying fully with the terms of service and the terms of use of Android."

At the time of this writing, Google has not yet responded to The Verge story, or to Apple's response.

They will not be looking to make a push to win Super Bowl XLIX, but they will try to make a push by not looking at the playoffs, which is why New England coach Bill Belichick is looking for help from the NFL's leading contender for the divisional round.

New England has lost three straight meetings with the NFC West, the last time being Dec. 8, 2011, where it fell just two points behind.

"We're trying to do something to the playoffs this year. As we've been through a lot, as we get closer to the playoffs, we see that the team has really been playing well and we want to give our guys that opportunity to make plays," Belichick said. "It's a lot of work with that team. It's a game plan. We've been working pretty hard on it and our core will be ready to go."

For the Patriots, that means a hard-fought win over the lowly Chicago Bears, or a loss to the Atlanta Falcons, or a big-play performance against the New Orleans Saints.

"They're getting better every day of the week," Belichick said. "They get good shots, they get good results. If we want to get better every day of the week, then we're going to do so."

The Patriots will be one of 19 teams making the postseason this season and have taken at least one step closer to doing so.
