Faliszek then went on to reveal what, exactly, he meant when he called the new boss, Stonewall. This new boss, he said, would be an open-world, open-world map that would be "a little bit different from what I built originally, but with more of a story, of course."
The map might be a little bit different from what I built originally, but with more of a story, of course.
Faliszek called the game "a little bit different." The game was designed on a personal basis, with Faliszek's two sons, Matt and Tony, being born in a world of virtual reality.
The team's plans for the new world were laid out in their new game's "in-game model for multiplayer games" (that's the part I left out in the last post), and it looked as though the game would include a number of other new features, including a "game map that's just a little bit different from what I built originally." Faliszek told Ars Technica he would have to make more of these updates before the team could "explain the core mechanics of the game."
In the end, though, Faliszek said he felt the new world would be something the team had to work on. "I could tell I was going to have to make it as well as I could, or I'm not going to have to make that game," he said. He added that "you're going to have to do some sort of internal development, so I'm going to take a lot of time off."
Faliszek is now back in his studio, and he's been at the helm of the studio since 2014, when its director of design, David S. Schulz, was hired to design the new game. "I was a little pissed off that I didn't do that kind of work for this team," Faliszek said. "I was still working from my laptop and I wanted to put a really cool game out there, but I didn't put that on the table."
