For example, Sentinel can read and write to any data source, including the Windows Event Logs. It can retrieve those events from a range of Microsoft's own APIs and use them to determine the status of an event—anything up to 50 times less likely to be a bad one.

The most notable feature of Sentinel is the ability to easily use a user's IP address to identify users, and then to view or block them from logging in.

In other words, Sentinel can tell if a user is actively looking for a particular URL. This means that it can look up a web page or a web browser in the user's browser history and block the user from visiting the URL. As a result, it can also block people from visiting a particular site.
