Meanwhile, the first commercial Soyuz rocket is scheduled to launch on March 21.An American man from Canada will be awarded a $150,000 fine and a ban on using his car to carry out anti-government activities.
The man, named as David E. Smith, has been found guilty of violating a provincial law that prohibits the personal possession and sale of firearms. He was sentenced to two years probation and a $750 fine.
The judge on Thursday sentenced Smith to one year of probation and a $4,000 fine.
He had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a loaded firearm, as well as a prohibited firearm.
The judge said Smith's actions were motivated by a combination of his criminal record and his desire to carry out his duties as a law enforcement officer.
"His conduct is in line with a pattern or practice, whether or not he is a convicted felon, that is more than likely to result in criminal charges," Judge James M. McAlpine said.
