The Android OS is the most important thing to us today. It's basically what Google is giving us.

Why is the Android OS so important? First, it's the first thing that's getting added to our car-operating-system business. Second, Android is the most important thing to us today, because it gives us the power to make the car you want to drive smarter and faster.

Car makers see it differently, saying the Android OS is a key component to their car business. The iPhone, for example, is designed to look like your car's own operating system, and it's built to support the features of the iPhone.
