The number of copies sold is actually quite low compared
The number of copies sold is actually quite low compared to other major titles, as it's still much lower than most AAA titles, but we've got a lot more to go for it than just the total number of "inbound" copies sold .
We also looked at the number of copies sold on a week-to-week basis compared to what it would be, and we found that the number of copies sold does seem to be declining when you look at the last three years, and that's not just for the last month of the year.
This is especially true for Switch sales. The previous month sales were at or above the line for both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 (the latter, in fact, sold 23 million copies, while the Xbox One was down 23.3 million), making it the first time since 2013 that a Switch game shipped at or above the number of copies sold. The Xbox One shipped 13.1 million, while Sony's PS4 shipped 11.1 million.
We also looked at how many copies of new games a game sold and found that the total number of copies sold (including copies that got remade) is only about 2% lower than what it would be if a new game had sold 15,000 copies, and that's really just the average number of copies sold.
While the numbers are quite high for some of the big titles in the industry, they're certainly not the number that everyone thinks it is.
And while many of the big names in the industry think it's the number that their fans want to see, that's just the percentage of their fans that just doesn't know what the real numbers are, and that's not what many of us really care about.
