WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge on Tuesday struck down a state law limiting the carrying of concealed firearms in public schools that bans the carrying of military-style rifles and shotguns without a permit.

The U.S. Supreme Court said the state law is unconstitutional because it discriminates against people who seek to hold gun-free gatherings, but the lower court said it cannot decide whether it violates the Constitution.
