This decision by the National Hurricane Center to de-emphasize the Saffir-Simpson scale was a hard one. Since the National Hurricane Center (NHC) was established in the late 1980s, hurricane forecasters have been working to ensure the accuracy and precision of their own forecasts every month, and the Saffir-Simpson scale is, by and large, the most reliable and effective way to identify the threat level of any given hurricane ever.

The Saffir-Simpson scale was developed in 1994 as an alternative to the Saffir-Simpson scale: it was based on a new methodology based on the same principles as the Saffir-Simpson scale (see the Saffir-Simpson article for more about the Saffir-Simpson scale). The Saffir-Simpson scale is an updated version of the Saffir-Simpson scale that includes all the other information provided by the Saffir-Simpson scale, along with a new system of storm forecasts for the region.

Figure 1. Saffir-Simpson storm forecasts for the Houston, TX area. In this figure, a tornado, a storm surge, and a category 4 hurricane are projected as the primary and secondary impacts to the entire region.

"It is time to stop calling for Poroshenko to step down from power," Dmitry Peskov told reporters at the Kremlin's Central Square. "This is not an attempt to change the Ukrainian political system. It is a call for the Russian government to stop using the term [terrorist] in its media and public discourse to express its wish for the Ukrainian people to get rid of Putin."

Poroshenko has been plagued by accusations of orchestrating terror strikes and plotting attacks against his country. He has faced pressure from the United States, Ukraine's security services and the international community to do more to combat organized crime. The United States has repeatedly called for Poroshenko
