We're still in the early days of the Labo VR

We're still in the early days of the Labo VR app, though it'll be a major step forward for the company's new VR-focused handheld headset. The Labo Kit will offer a number of features that make it a compelling option for developers and for gamers alike. One of the key benefits of this is that it will help Nintendo bring the Labo Kit to new devices and platforms; it's the first VR-based app available to the public, and has been for over a year now. It is also the only Labo VR app currently being released for the Oculus Rift. Nintendo hasn't made any further announcements at this point about the Labo VR app for the Switch, though we will update this post when we hear back.

We're not sure what Labo VR Kit will look like in real-time, but we're talking about virtual reality and the way the device interacts with it. The Labo VR Kit will be available for pre-order at GameStop in North America on April 12, and at launch, only on the Nintendo Switch. In addition, we're still waiting for a release date for Nintendo's latest handheld, the NX, or even the Labo VR headset.

So, what will Labo VR look like in real-time? The Labo VR Kit will be available for pre-order at GameStop in North America, but this release doesn't include a controller that's made specifically for the Switch. But it's safe to say that there will be a few VR controllers with more than one eye, so you'll be able to play with them. Labo's Labo VR app already has a headset preordered at GameStop in North America, but will launch for the Switch sometime later this year.

We've already seen some VR headsets make an appearance on the market, including Oculus Rift's VR Headset and HTC Vive's Vive. We'll have to wait until February to hear more about what the Labo VR app is and what will be coming later this year with the Switch. But if you're still interested in learning more about the Labo VR app, check out our previous coverage:
