"We've never seen these kind of videos in our history," Ng told BuzzFeed News. "This was just a piece of stuff that went out on YouTube, but it was in the wild. It was a pretty aggressive, aggressive way to go."

But it wasn't just a viral post, it was a hoax.

"What we saw was a whole bunch of people being like, 'There's a group of people who are making this kind of a thing,' and then one of them is taking all the pictures and posting them to Instagram and it's like, 'Oh my god."

Ng's account was blocked by an administrator in a recent update that made it easier to verify that her impersonations had been reported.

But Ng's story didn't end there.

"I received an email from a few people who were really upset about the way the video was reported. I really, really, really worried about what was going on down there," she said. "I was like, 'Are you serious? Are you a real person?'"

We're not saying it's an automated system, but we're saying you're going to need to contact each of our YouTube staff to see if this is something you're comfortable with. As we have seen, this was a lot of hate and hate speech over the last few days, and we're going to take this seriously."

And that's a big enough message for YouTube to take on. It may have learned from its mistakes, but if Ng's video has gone viral, it's only going to be one more sign that YouTube is taking the problem seriously.

As for her experience as an actual person, the video had been posted to her account under her name, but when the person who actually posted the video, who I assume has been identified, took
