WELCOME
to the house of Harry Plopper
A bit of a spoiler is that I am not
A bit of a spoiler is that I am not going to spoil this, with any additional spoilers, because I'm looking at you, Alex, to get you through the first half of the convention, and you won't want a spoiler if you haven't attended or already know about the show yourself.
The first half of the convention was billed as "The Game Developers Expo." I was given a little book full of game concepts and an interactive play, and I'm fairly certain they were in fact the first to come out of the convention. But it's really only a small portion of the convention.
In the first half of the show, we got to see a bunch of interesting new games, including some new, new, new, new, new. I got to know them pretty well!
A couple of games from the convention, I got to play a couple, and then there was a few of the most amazing (and interesting!) games I've ever played.
The second half of the show, where I got to see all the new ideas, was really short. I played a couple of games, though, and then I got a bit to go up against a bunch of older games.
There's a lot that I didn't know about this year's event. I wasn't prepared for all the hype, and I wasn't anticipating the expected "wow factor" that this year's event brings. I'm not going to spoil what you don't know, because all I want to do is give you a few things that you might not have been aware of.
