"I've been talking to a number of vaccine experts about this and I'm told that they say it's a very bad idea. They say that it's a vaccine for the cow," Bevin said.

The problem, he said, is that the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is only available at local pediatric hospitals in the state and is not a vaccine for people with serious or life-threatening illnesses.

"What I'm saying is that if you don't get a vaccine, you can have serious complications, because the virus that causes the infection you're taking in is very dangerous," Bevin said. "There are people who take this seriously, and they say that this vaccine is for people who do have serious illness, and you're taking a risk of these terrible complications."

The disease, which has been linked to more than 20,000 deaths worldwide, has been linked to the spread of cholera, a deadly disease that causes severe fever, severe respiratory illnesses, and death.

Bevin also revealed that his state had found another way of ensuring that chickenpox vaccine is safe despite mounting evidence.

"It could have been the other way around," Bevin said.

"We should be saying that the vaccine should be used more liberally without the risk of infection in people, and we should do it with the help of an individual who has an illness they can potentially be cured from.
