Asked if he was concerned by the high demand for Tesla Model 3s, Musk said: "I think that's the biggest driver for it." He added, "They're getting more and more into the Tesla market and they're not going to leave until they can, and that's what we are going for."

The company's new CEO, Elon Musk, has been busy since the launch of the Model 3. He announced the company's planned $1 billion acquisition of the Autopilot program in February.
The $1 billion deal was reportedly part of Musk's plan to reduce battery costs, but Musk hasn't yet taken on the new Model 3.
A couple of months ago, Musk, the head of Tesla's "all-electric car" line, told The New York Times that "the world's going to be on autopilot once the Model 3 is fully operational, which will take a few years." Tesla CEO Elon Musk, on the other hand, has been critical of the Model 3's lack of safety features and security features, but Tesla has continued to support the launch of the Model S and Model X.
Tesla's new Model 3 is scheduled to ship on March 8, 2017. Tesla has just over 30 million customers worldwide.
