But the other major problem was that I didn't know much about the Klingons. I had no idea who they were. My main character was pretty much in the dark about them for a while, until it was really important to me that every scene I saw of them onscreen had the 'Klingon' in it.

And when we got to the end of the year, I told myself that I had to talk to the Klingon people again. And what happened after that? The end of Season 2!

The first episode was actually pretty much in the middle of the season. We were on the third night of the second season, so some of our guys were not sure what to do, when the first night came—which was great, because it meant we were able to get a good look at how the Klingons were doing in the world and how to deal with it. But I didn't know what to expect in Season 3.

It seems like we have a lot of things to talk about in Season 2. We've got a lot of things that are really happening for our future selves, particularly with the Klingons. I think we've found that we can handle the Klingons on a level that we don't have before. And the Klingons are still very much alive. There are some big changes happening in the story, and there are big changes and changes we're doing in the story. We're trying to make sure that the Klingons are not only alive but that they are able to be in the present; that they are able to change things for the better. But if you look at the story at a glance, this is just a very small group of Klingons.

This episode was almost like they were all in one place. They were all standing on one platform, and their faces were all over the place — like, it seemed like the show was trying to show us what we were really thinking.

So if we just look at it in a logical way, and we start looking at each character individually, then we're able to see how important the characters are to the show. Like, you know, we've been talking about this for a while and we've talked about how important they are to the show, like, the Klingons are not only alive, but even in the present.
