Fortnite's loot boxes are unique, but there are also a ton of different ways to customize them. A variety of customization options, such as the ability to place your Llama, can be found on the game's website.

Fortnite's loot boxes are all completely randomized, and it's unclear what sort of things players will be able to do with them, but it's clear that the loot boxes are not only more customizable, but also are more exciting and fun.

Fortnite could be looking to monetize its loot boxes more aggressively with its future updates.

Fortnite has taken on a number of new games in the Hearthstone, Hearthstone 2, Hearthstone 3, and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft games, as well as the Diablo II and Diablo III titles. The company does not disclose how many games it's sold, but its latest game, Heroes of the Storm 2, received a $20,000 budget from Blizzard for development.
