"I think it's going to be a good, solid product," Dell CEO John Chambers told me on the show. But he added, "I think we're always looking at the next step."

So what about the top? You can pick one up with no complaints, but let's break down the specs.

The XPS 13 is an Ultrabook

The XPS 13 is powered by a 12-core Exynos processor, a 1.2GHz Nvidia GPU, and an Intel Core i5 processor. The CPU-based version of the device is made from a 2.7-inch, Intel HD Graphics 530 display, with 1GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The XPS 13 also ships with a 13-inch, 3,400-dot-wide 1920 x 1440 resolution LCD screen, as well as a 1,440 x 1,440 pixels resolution screen.

You'll also find a full-size 4,560 x 1,440 screen with Nvidia's 2,048 x 2,048 standard, a 3,840 x 1,440 framebuffer, and a 3D-capable dual-core 1.5GHz processor.
