In fact, it's possible that Defender for Mac is the only operating system in the world that doesn't require a patch from Microsoft. If you're a Mac user who wishes to encrypt Windows malware, there are a number of options for you to try.

To download from Microsoft's website, users must be logged into the PC, or install the patch. The patch is available for free on the Windows Download Center, but you get to install it by signing onto a Mac. To do so, open a Terminal application.

For the next hour, we'll review the process by which you get to install Defender for Mac. Some Windows-based malware can be thought of as 'hacking' a Windows operating system so that it can take over. This is what you'll see when you try to launch a malware scanner.

As you might have guessed, some malware can be identified by a series of different indicators. This information includes the 'Type' (the name of the file on disk) of the file, a 'File Size' (the size of your hard drive), the 'File Size Ratio' (the percentage increase in size in the file), and the 'Process Speed' (the number of times the file is read or written).
