"It is time for the American people to finally have

"It is time for the American people to finally have a full understanding of this tragic shooting event and what exactly it meant to us," Norton said. "This is a tragic senseless loss. The victims were unarmed and they had no safety net. Our nation needs to stand with the families of those killed while our government seeks to prosecute those who commit heinous crimes like these."

"The American people must continue to stand together to protect, protect and protect our government and its citizens," Beyer said. "All of us must stand with them. It is not enough to just stand with the families of those killed. We must stand with the people of that nation who are still trying to determine the truth of the case. We must stand with those with the power to silence those with the power to silence."

"This horrific shooting is a clear illustration of the power of the political class to silence our own voices to prevent honest, fair, and transparent inquiry and transparency," Norton added. "We must demand our government hold accountable those who are responsible. We must call for an end to this government's biased and corrupt practices of mass surveillance and mass incarceration."

The bill also calls for a federal grand jury investigation of Ghaisar and his family. The grand jury will be required to meet in person or by telephone to determine whether the grand jury's findings are in keeping with the Constitutionality of the law.

According to WFAA, the grand jury will include a federal grand jury commissioner and will take five months to process. The grand jury's final decision on whether to indict the five officers involved in the shooting is set in July.

"The Department of Justice has consistently refused to provide the public with the same information that the public needs to fully understand what happened in Charlottesville," Norton said. "This bill will ensure they do not receive the same information that they deserve."
