Last month, Microsoft announced that it had begun moving from the current patch cycle to a new version, bringing the total to 11 months. The new release is part of the upgrade cycle, which Microsoft says it will release in March. The first three months of the upgrade will be the only ones to hit the same number of people, although the company has released patch updates twice recently.
