Second, Google did this before the Project Stream release (which could make it a little surprising for someone who just bought a Nexus 6P, even though one of the new hardware features it gives you is a Pixel). I have no doubt that there will be more announcements in the coming days, months, and years, but I think the major piece of evidence at this event is that the product announcement is about hardware. It is probably not going to be a full build of the Pixel phone or even of the Google Home device, but it is a full build. It is the exact thing that Google wants to be in the business of making the most.

You can't predict where a hardware announcement will go down the road. It could be a new Google Home video game, or even a new Google TV. In the meantime, it would be nice to see the developer-owned video service that Google has been developing for the past two years in the Windows Phone ecosystem. The question is: Will Google start putting out videos just to get people to play Google games and then wait for the release of Google games—or will Google just continue to push its own game for the device and wait for the hardware?

The Verge points out that as of yesterday, the Google Play store has only been updated to include updates for the Google Play Arcade, but this is the latest update on Windows Phone 7.1. I don't know if this will have any big impact on the game industry, but this is the latest update that the product has already started shipping.

Google also has an interesting partnership with Android Wear, although it may not have been the first opportunity for developers to show their progress or give a presentation. At its best, Wear is a wearable device that allows you to wear your Android Wear ID (or Google Assistant) and to take photos and videos while in motion. At its worst, it is a kind of virtual reality headset.

For example, at the Google Play store today, the Google Play store has a full set of WatchOS apps, the most popular of which is Google Alerts. The watch app allows you to make alarms or to see whether you are in an emergency or need to make a call. WatchOS is a bit less popular than Wear, but I still think it is a useful component.

The Google Play store has a few apps for Android Wear, but there are definitely a few apps that don't include any specific features for Android Wear. In particular, apps that don't feature Android Wear are listed below. All
