Tesla says it will update the software on its cars
Tesla says it will update the software on its cars to "exclude the possibility that the battery in the Model S will be fully charged".
Tesla is already pushing out a range update to its Model S, which has a 3.7-inch touchscreen LCD display, which is supposed to be ready for the hurricane season.
Tesla has now launched its "Remote-Driving" service for electric vehicles. It allows customers to drive with a local electric vehicle, with the help of a Tesla remote computer in a car in the vicinity of a major hurricane warning sign. The remote computer will ask Tesla drivers for a local power source and the Model S will begin to charge in less than 30 minutes.
Tesla is also rolling out a new remote control system for plug-in hybrids. This will allow customers to control their cars remotely, using the Tesla Remote app.
The Remote-Driving service was designed by the Autonomous Driving Foundation, which works with state and local governments to advance the use of autonomous driving technologies.
Tesla says it is working on a remote control system that will help it deliver the best possible product to customers. The service is available on the Tesla website. The company says that the service will allow customers to "unlock, access, manage, and verify their own connected devices and services."
