The FCC's plan calls for 10 years of funding for local broadband projects, with most of that coming from the federal government, while providing $2 billion in federal support to rural broadband providers to provide broadband access. This plan is not based on an assessment that rural broadband will lead to net neutrality, but rather is based on a policy argument that rural broadband does not deliver net neutrality and that the FCC should instead support the construction of a broadband network, rather than simply subsidizing local broadband.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Thune said that the FCC is not seeking the money to build a broadband network with zero-rating, which the FCC's broadband network would require. The following is a video from the first episode of The Next Generation:
The Next Generation, a series of episodes, premiered this month on Adult Swim. The first episode of the season explores the first season of 'The Next Generation' as part of the series "A Conversation With the Next Generation" by former TLC and FX producers Jason Scott and Mike Rinder.
"A Conversation With the Next Generation" features original voice cast members and cast members from the upcoming season of TLC's The Next Generation.
"We're just going to focus on what is going on," Rinder said. "The show is not over yet, so we're going to focus on what's going on this season. The show is coming out every year. There's going to soon be a lot of things happening. We'll figure it out."
The producers added that their decision to expand the number of episodes was in response to the growth of TLC's "Next Generation" on the network.
