The new directive will be implemented immediately in the EU and will set a period of two years in which the EU does not renew its clock. The European Commission is planning to implement the directive with the end of summer in October.

According to the newspaper, the directive "is meant to counter the effects of seasonal change on competitiveness and to prevent short-term disruption and to provide a safe space for migrants. It will also be aimed at preventing over-reliance on the European market economy for all its components, which can take months to achieve."You know that time travel thing where you come back to your home and decide if you wish to travel back to your world or go from one place to another on a plane in one sitting?
