Update: In an interview with The Verge last week, the Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev told The Verge that he didn't think the US was going to launch any other test-firing vehicles "that are of the same capacity" as the SpaceX Falcon 9.

"We believe that it would be foolish not to launch this test vehicle," Medvedev said.

The test launch will take place on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft.
