What's most worrisome is that Facebook's application is a highly-touted competitor to Google's, a fact that will cause controversy. This means that even if Google's app store is created to protect users from potential malicious apps, it could still be used by Facebook to distribute third-party apps that share certain functionality.

While Google's app is well-known, it has been on the market for around 18 months now, so it's likely that it's not going to be a top-to-bottom competitor for Facebook. And if Apple does go that route, as Apple did with WhatsApp, there's likely to be another backlash.

Facebook's application was created to help users manage their mobile devices. It was created to help them manage their personal social networks, like Facebook.

At the time, Apple had a very different approach. It started by trying to build a way to offer users the "user-centric" experience that Facebook's service was designed for. Apple decided to put a strong emphasis on user management, rather than app-related apps.

As a result, Apple was able to offer users an experience that worked well for most users on a regular basis, and made a lot of sense for some users.
